A Holford Estate Wedding Venue
The Holford Estate is described as a hidden gem and that's a great metaphor. On a beautiful mid summers day I got to shoot Amy and Mark’s wedding video and to explore the newly refurbished Holford Barn, advertised as;
an event venue we are a harmonious mixture of traditional and modern, blending ancient architecture with contemporary additions, providing an advanced level of technology and knowledge.
A Classic, Cheshire Summer Wedding
You approach the venue along a tree lined avenue and are surrounded by acres of Cheshire countryside, woodland and pasture. Once within the grounds, beautiful knot gardens have been lovingly recreated to harmonise with the original house that dates back to the 12th century. I was very excited to be shooting video at the venue in the summer and the gardens, barn and estate make an impressive backdrop to the wedding celebrations.
Documentary, wedding videography with an emphasis on story
It was so much fun creating a film for Amy and Mark and their wedding was a joy to shoot alongside Dave of Golding Photography and Rachel Taylor. Here is what Amy though of the wedding video I produced:
Travelling to the Holford Estate
I've done some research and if you're a guest you might be lucky enough to stay at the 16th Water Mill also part of the estate. If you're looking for accommodation local to the venue, Northwich is a short drive to the South West along the A556 where you can find a Travelodge and just North of Holford is Pickmere Country House. The venue is close to both Lostock Gralam Station and Plumley East, and the M6 and M56 are nearby giving easy access to Manchester airport. If you have some time whilst in the area, Marbury Park and Budworth Mere are 15 mins away by car and Chester is about 30mins.
