To be honest I’d rather be shooting and editing your wedding film or soaking up some rays that said, I take your Privacy seriously and hope that this policy to comply with GDPR legislation will keep everyone happy and reassured.

The What, Who, How and Why of GDPR

I collect a minimal amount of data needed to run my business, Love Two Film. The data required includes, your name and that of any other important people, a contact number and a postal address.

The data is collected by me, Bruce Marshall of Love Two Film. My preference for collecting any data is directly from you, face to face if possible but more likely it’ll be over the phone or a contact from on my website, it may also be via a social media site.

So why do I need this data?

Essentially to run my business and to make sure I can contact you before, during and after your wedding day. There may be occasions I’ll need to pass certain information on to a second shooter or 3rd party supplier but I will inform you of such a need.

 Sensitive Data and Explicit Consent

My understanding is that Data falls into categories, personal data as detailed above and the images (sensitive data) I film on the day. To reassure you I’ll need permission (explicit consent) from you to use either type of data and hopefully we’ll sort this verbally and with a contract once you’ve decided to commission Love Two Film.

Ooh I'd love some, or maybe not. A cookie is a text file which asks permission to be placed on your computer, the cookie will analyse web traffic
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps me analyse data about web page traffic and improve my website. I only use this information for statistical analysis then the data is removed from the system. You can modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

Sharing and Caring

If you say I can’t share your data and I’m thinking of a beautifully edited, epic, wedding highlight film here then I won’t share it or any other information, that’s your right, however hopefully you’ll be happy for me to upload your film. I have taken steps to insure all files are stored on either, an encrypted, password protected drive or on a GDPR compliant cloud service that operate encryption. I have a legitimate interest in using any footage for promotional purposes that could include, short highlight films or stills used within my websites or uploaded to social media. I will not share or sell your data to any third parties, but I may need to share elements of your data with suppliers for prints or video hosting. I also need to keep a record of data legally and maybe required to pass information onto law enforcement agencies ( I hope not!)

You and Me

The way I collect data and store it should have no negative effect on you and in most cases the data will be deleted after a year, This may not be the case for 3rd party data processors such as, a message sent via Facebook Messenger but if you have any concerns please contact me. You can also ask for a copy of any data I store about you and I will comply with guidance from ICO (The Information Commissioner’s Office)
